Term:
Holiday Spirit Photo Contest begins December 13, 2022 and ends December 22, 2022, at Noon (CST). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and that they are 18 years old or older.
Who may enter:
This contest is open to anyone 18 years old or older. The winner with the most "likes" of their photo on Facebook. Each individual may win only one time. This Contest is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
What to enter:
A photo of how you and your family get in the holiday spirit. This can be anything from images of you and your family wearing ugly holiday sweaters, funny pet holiday pics, decorating your trees or outside, a large family gathering, pics of Christmas past that's a special memory for you--hopefully, you get the idea. Or just get creative by thinking outside of the box in taking a pic to submit! One thing for sure, it MUST capture the holiday spirit and make us smile, laugh, feel joy, or even feel sad. It must be a photo you or a family member took.
How to enter:
1SaleADay reserves the right to disqualify contestants. By entering the contest, entrants grant 1SaleADay a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, scholarly and all other standard Smithsonian purposes. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. 1SaleADay will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
Entry deadline: Users must submit their photos with the Bee from February 1, 2012 – February 29, 2012 11:59 PM (“Submission Period”)
Judging: Judging will be conducted by the 1SaleADay. The top photos will be published to Facebook for voting.
Voting:
Facebook users will be encouraged to vote from March 1st to March 16, 2012 11:59 PM. Users may only vote once.
At that time, the public can vote on our Facebook page for one winner, which will be revealed on March 17, 2012. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. 1SaleADay reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of 1SaleADay will be final.
Prizes:
One winner will be selected based on the votes received. All costs, taxes, fees, and expenses associated with any element of any prize not specifically addressed above are the sole responsibility of the respective winner. All federal, state and local taxes on prizes are the respective winner's responsibility. The specifics of all aforementioned elements of any prizes in the contest shall be solely determined by Main Sponsor. Some restrictions may apply. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash except at Main Sponsor's sole discretion. Main Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize, or portions thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded.
Release of Liability: Main Sponsor, its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporation, Contest Administrator, each of the Contest Entities, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, dealers, distributors, employees and agents of the Contests Entities, are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, technical malfunctions, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. By entering this Contests, all entrants, any winners, and their family members, guests, invitees, agents, and employees release and hold harmless Main Sponsor, Contests Administrator and each of the Contests Entities, as well as the respective officers, directors, agents, employees and shareholders of the foregoing entities and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contests from and against any and all actions, claims, and/or liability with respect to or in any way arising from participation in this Contests and/or acceptance or use of the prizes and any related travel and/or activities, including liability for personal injury, death, damages, or loss. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on a prize (if any) are subject to the service provider's terms therefore, and winners agree to look solely to such service provider for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
Additionally, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Facebook from and against any claims arising out of or in conjunction with the Contests or receipt or use of any prize. Further, entrants acknowledge that this Contest is in no way sponsored by, endorsed by or administered by or associated with Facebook.
